Cassini originated as a table lamp produced by Local Industries as part of an exhibition at Wonder Cabinet, a space for art production and cultural development in Bethlehem. The lamp is carved from a single block of Naqab, a local stone. By directing the light downward through its core, the lamp creates a diffuse and indirect illumination.

Proceeds of the Naqab Stone Cassini were donated to revive Palestinian farmlands.
