Cassini is a table lamp carved from a single block of aluminium. By directing the light downward through its core, the lamp creates a diffuse and indirect illumination.
Cassini was originally made of Naqab stone as part of an exhibition at Wonder Cabinet, a space for art production and cultural development in Bethlehem.
The name Cassini stands as a reminder of the Cassini–Huygens spacecraft, a research mission to Saturn, producing some of its most beautiful photographs before finally plunging into the planet on Sept. 15, 2017.
